Laegglaesheshe
(2016)
Laegglaesheshe was a project that utilized the visual element of "lines" to create impactful visual outcomes through simple and easy-to-follow rules, allowing anyone to participate effortlessly.
This project consists of two major series. The first series follows a concept where lines are drawn freely in a flow of consciousness. However, closely positioned lines must be drawn tightly together, and everything must be depicted using only lines—no solid coloring is allowed. This series consists of three interconnected pieces, which, upon completion, were combined into a single artwork. The process of this series was close to children's play, allowing me to clear my mind and focus. The material used was colored sign pens.
The second series involved capturing the trails of light using a slow shutter speed on a camera. By randomly moving the camera while photographing various light sources in the world, a drawing made of light emerges. When seemingly meaningless, blurred images are mirrored like a decalcomania, they produce unexpected visual effects. Depending on the shutter speed, an array of unique impressions can be created. Much like the decalcomania techniques used in childhood with marbling and watercolor paints, this process is intuitive, fun, easy, and playful.
The images created through this process hold artistic value as finished pieces on their own. However, they can also serve as inspiration for various secondary creative works or be used as patterns in fashion and accessory brands. Perhaps, in the future, the Laegglaesheshe project may be revived.
Project Series 1

Series 1-3
I asked 7-8 people to draw random lines without any specific idea in mind. They created a variety of random lines, and I filled in the blank spaces, following the flow of those lines.
Series 1-2
My friend and I sat across from each other at the table, each coming up with different words. We didn’t share our words with each other until the end of the drawing. Throughout the process, we each kept the word in mind as the inspiration for our artwork. In the end, I revealed that I had been thinking about 'tiara,' while my friend had been thinking about 'knife.'
Series 1-1
My friend and I sat across from each other at the table, listening to the same song, "Merry-go-round." As the music played, we both doodled, letting the feeling of the song guide our drawings.
